This Wednesday every restaurant in town will be full of couples holding hands across the table, making googly eyes at one another, and sipping wine in near darkness to celebrate their love. But before the evening’s festivities or maybe even in lieu of, there will be girl dates. Galentine’s Day is a nod to giving the friends in your life the roses they deserve while they’re alive and you should most certainly be cute for that date too. While everyone is setting out to tell you what you wear to wow your boo, I want you to stun with your girls as well. Keep reading to for a look that’s cozy and chic, the best style for a girl’s night out!
In high school I loved making homemade crafts for my friends.
Buying all the cute things the dollar store had to offer I wanted to make sure that they felt loved from me. It’s something that meant a lot to me and still does. I think my girls are some of the most beautiful and intelligent in the world. For those that are in relationships and those that some man has yet earn the honor of their love, I want them to know that I love them. For me Galentine’s Day is about letting the women in your life know that with or without someone special in their life they are still worthy. Sending flowers, a card, or enjoying a brunch date are the perfect ways to celebrate and this look can be great for that.
outfit details: jeans – Topshop // sneakers – Jordan x Aleali May // teddy coat (similar) – ASOS // purse – MCM // t-shirt – Pretty Little Thing // sunnies – Chloe // belt (similar) – Rebecca Minkoff // bracelets – David Yurman
Keep it cozy while wrapped up in a teddy coat, meaning you enjoy lunch on a patio if you happen to be in California like me or layer it up with a snazzy turtleneck. Paired with high waisted to jeans to hold you in as you indulge in a plate full of treats and bottles of champagne, my favorites are linked here. Hey Topshop Jamie’s! Obviously I’m a sneakerhead and what’s more appropriate then rocking a pair of Jordan’s designed by a woman? You’ll be ready to get toasty with your main squeezes and be gorgeous while you do.
Are you a Galentine’s Day person or do you think it’s just another to get us to buy into a holiday? While I think it always about the bottom line for brands and companies I cannot deny the idea has a lovely ring to it. Nothing wrong to me with having a day to thank my friends for being in my corner. If you celebrate what you and your gals do? I’d love to hear about your festivities!
