When I hear the term “power suit” my mind instantly takes me back to the 80s. A time when Yves Saint Laurent made women wearing the pants a thing to be praised. A round of applause for that fashion genius. I’ve always been drawn to suits, I think there was something about them that made me feel limitless. When I saw a picture of this pink suit with striped pockets – I had to have it. But then I saw the price. So I found an alternative and honey – it’s pink, powerful, and a piece of perfection.
This is the beauty that inspired this entire post and I know you love it. You can’t not love it. There have been articles from The Cut to Jezebel covering the importance and resurgence of the shade now referred to as “Millenial Pink”. And as I’ve said here before – I was not a pink girl. But I am reformed. And this suit has only increased my desire for the color in my closet. Zara hooked me up with this two-piece and I love the length of the pants. This has also served as a point of contention in discovering my style because as a
petite short person I struggled with the culotte trend. However I’m realizing now that this length is actually perfect for me because it makes me look a touch longer especially when worn with a heel. Check me out with the tricks!
Haven’t joined the multitudes in the love of pink yet? Don’t be afraid the water is warm and accepting all newcomers, dive right on in!
